Chemical resistant gloves, also known as rubber gloves, are protective gloves designed to protect hands from harsh chemicals. They are commonly used in chemical plants, laboratories, oil refineries, and other places where cleaning and degreasing solvents, hazardous liquids, or PVC cements are present.

Different Types of Chemical Resistant Gloves

There are many different types of chemical resistant gloves on the market. Products vary by length, cuff, thickness, ANSI/ISEA abrasion level, and type of lining. Common materials used in these gloves include nitrile, latex, neoprene, and PVC. Other types of gloves may also provide protection against heat, cuts, and chemicals.

• Latex Gloves:

These gloves are made from natural rubber and offer a high degree of chemical resistance.

• Neoprene Gloves:

These gloves provide excellent resistance to a wide range of chemicals.

• Nitrile Gloves:

Nitrile gloves are made from synthetic rubber and offer superior chemical resistance and durability.

• Butyl Gloves:

These gloves are made from a synthetic rubber and are highly resistant to a wide range of chemicals.

• Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Gloves:

PVC gloves are highly chemical-resistant and offer good protection against a variety of chemicals.

How to Choose Chemical Resistant Gloves

When choosing a pair of chemical resistant gloves, it is important to consider the type of material, the length and cuff style, and the ANSI/ISEA abrasion level. Additionally, you should consider the type of lining and whether or not the gloves are reusable or disposable.
