Through the use of mechanical reduction, the particle scrub utilizes the filter media's fine micro-mesh structure to trap particles. Effective for reducing large particles of contaminants like cysts, rust, and other sediments. A chemical reduction process that uses the carbon granules oleophilic surface to attract organic compounds and non-polar contaminants, which they ADSORB onto their surfaces. Effective for reducing THMs, organic contaminants like chlorinated solvents, pesticides, and other industrial pollutants. The polishing scrub utilizes pressure to force-diffuse your water throughout the filter's vast micro-pore mesh, reducing dangerous and aesthetic contaminants. The filter media of a single cartridge can have a surface area that exceeds 50 thousand square feet.
