About Engine Stands
If your gas or diesel engine needs repair, an engine stand is a good foundation to build on. When it comes to engine repair, under-the-hood work can be difficult—or downright impossible—and that’s where the engine stand comes to the rescue. Just prop that engine up on a stand, and go to work: many stands allow for 360-degree rotation, so if you’re working in different sections of the engine, this type of stand is a good way to go. You’ll also want to double check the weight of the engine, and get the stand that will safely support the load—1,000 and 2,000-pound capacities are very common. There is also a selection of vehicle stands and service jacks if you’re so inclined.
