EPDM tubing, also known as EPDM hose, is a durable and flexible rubber material ideal for outdoor use. It is made of a blend of three polymers - ethylene, propylene, and diene - known as propylene diene monomer, or EPDM for short. This gives the tubing excellent resistance to weather, steam, chemicals, ozone, and aging. EPDM tubing is also suitable for use with water, acids, weak alkalis, and ester-based fluids.

Different Types of EPDM Tubing

In addition to EPDM, other types of rubber tubing are available, such as neoprene, which is known for its excellent flexibility and resistance to oil and weathering. EPDM and other rubber tubing are used in various industries and professions, including automotive, plumbing, and industrial manufacturing. They are often used as coolant lines, gaskets, or in irrigation and industrial cooling systems where they may be exposed to harsh outdoor conditions.

Applications of EPDM Tubing

When choosing the right rubber tubing for your application, it is important to consider factors such as flexibility, heat resistance, and compatibility with the fluids or gases that will be flowing through it. EPDM tubing is a popular choice due to its versatility and durability. It is available in a range of sizes and thicknesses to meet the specific needs of your project.
