PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) tubing is a super flexible fluoropolymer tubing prized for its capacity to carry extremely low- and high-temperature fluids. Its flexibility and temperature range—from roughly -400°F to 500°F—make it an ideal tubing choice for laboratory and chemical processing settings, as well as in electrical and automotive applications. PTFE tubing is used by many in the computer manufacturing, aerospace, medical and 3D printing industries. Finally, PTFE tubing also features low permeability and a resistance to “melt-off” by soldering irons. Other tubing choices include copper, PVC, stainless steel and neoprene.
