The unit features fully illuminated 6-inch EXIT characters with a 3/4-inch stroke and field-selectable directional chevrons, allowing installers to configure exit direction during installation. The integrated emergency lighting includes two fully adjustable LED lamp heads that provide targeted illumination during emergency operation. Standard models include 0.75-watt LED heads, with optional higher-output lamp heads available for increased light output in larger spaces. Constructed with rugged injection-molded, high-temperature thermoplastic housing rated UL 94 5VA flame-retardant, the VLED Series offers durability and long service life while maintaining a lightweight design suitable for commercial environments. The universal configuration includes two faceplates, a backplate, and a mounting canopy, allowing installation in either single-face or double-face configurations. The fixture supports wall or ceiling mounting and easily installs above doors or in restricted spaces. Battery-backup models include a maintenance-free nickel-cadmium battery that provides a minimum of 90 minutes of emergency operation during power interruptions and recharges within 24 hours.
