The empty vest, including the piping and pump, weighs 1 lb 12 oz. The 6 oz battery fits securely in the water-resistant pouch on the front. For optimal cooling, add one frozen ice plate (~1 lb) and 16 oz of cool water to the reservoir. How does this work? Load a reusable ice plate into the vest's waterproof reservoir, fill with cool water, and turn it on. The internal pump moves water around your body through discreet channels, drawing heat away and sending it back to be re-cooled at the ice plate. This closed-loop system helps regulate body temperature even during long hours outdoors. The BPA-free polyethylene (PE) reservoir helps keep the water colder longer for extended relief.
