Propane POL Safety Valve, 1/4" NPT Outlet

Hot Max 24203 POL safety valve is for connections to standard propane tanks with internal valve threads (standard in the USA). Propane tank connection is a CGA-510 internal left hand thread and the POL outlt is a standard 1/4NPT thread. The POL is also a safety valve that stops excess flow over 500,000 BTU/hr. BEST USE PRACTICES / TROUBLE SHOOTING: POL Safety valves are designed to reduce the gas flow of propane if excessive gas flow is detected. Excessive gas flow can be caused by a damaged or malfunctioning appliance or hose. The POL Safety valve may also detect excessive flow if the valve on the propane tank is opening too quickly. If you suspect the POL Safety valve has shutoff the flow of propane due to the tank valve being opened too quickly (the safety valve has engaged when only minimal amounts of propane pass through the valve), close the tank valve all the way closed, unthread the POL Safety valve from the tank valve to release the gas pressure, reinstall the POL Safety valve into the tank valve and tighten with a wrench, and then slowly open the tank valve.
