Description
The E309LT1-1/4 Stainless Steel Flux Cored Wire is designed for welding dissimilar joints between various steel types, including high-strength, mild, and low-alloy steels, as well as ferritic and austenitic stainless steels. It's commonly used for cladding applications, particularly for the first layer of corrosion-resistant overlays on ferritic-pearlitic steels in boilers and pressure vessels. The weld metal contains higher ferrite content within its austenitic structure, enhancing weldability and providing strong corrosion and heat resistance. Suitable for all welding positions, this wire delivers a stable spray arc, minimal spatter, and self-releasing slag for smooth operation. It is compatible with both 100% CO2 and 75% Ar / 25% CO2 shielding gases and requires DCEP DC+ polarity. Available in .035'', .045'', and 1/16'' diameters, it comes in 10 lb and 25 lb spool options.
