Indexable Boring Parts
Boring bars enlarge holes that have already been drilled. A secondary finishing operation, these boring tools create greater diameter accuracy and also can cut tapered holes. Indexable boring parts might be used, for example, to bore metal for the creation of cylindrical tube-shaped metal objects such as engine cylinders or gun barrels. They may also be used to correct the original drilled holes, or correct defects in casting. There are many additional parts that are used in various cutting, hole making and shaping operations, such as milling cutter parts, turning tool parts, and tap and die parts.
