Porting tools are used in milling and lathing applications. A port tool is made with a burr at the end of it and is constructed from heat treated steel that is tipped with carbide. The carbide burr is designed for efficient drilling capacities, and is made to enlarge a hole that has already been pre-drilled. These head porting tools can craft a new complex form in the milling and lathing process. We also carry a port and polish kit for finishing applications. In addition to these port tools, we supply counterbores which are cylindrical holes with flat bottoms that are used to enlarge pre-drilled holes.
