Instrumentation Tube Fittings
While instrumentation fittings are held to stricter tolerances than many other types of compression fittings, they don’t require soldering, gluing, or welding to install. Comprising a body, nut, and sleeve, they are easy to put in place. The sleeve of the fitting simply compresses against the tubing wall as the nut is tightened, forming a tight seal. Other tubing fittings that can also be used with tubing made of metal or hard plastic include press-fit tube fittings, compression tube fittings, and push-to-connect tube fittings.
