The K2 Pumps 1/2 HP Cast Iron Shallow Well Jet Pump, 115/230-Volt (Model WPS05002K) supplies household water from shallow wells with pumping water levels up to 25 ft. below the pump. It delivers 7.2 GPM at 40 PSI. The cast iron housing supports long service, and the pump self-primes after its housing is filled and a foot valve or check valve is installed. The TEFC motor uses dual-voltage wiring for 115V or 230V installations. A factory-installed 30/50 PSI pressure switch starts and stops the pump with a pressure tank. Threaded suction and discharge ports fit common residential well plumbing. Before buying, measure pumping water level, target flow, pressure, pipe friction, voltage and system configuration; well depth or horsepower alone is not enough.
