Utilizing the standard J1772 charging protocol, this charging cable is compatible with all electric cars and plug-in hybrids. Compact and durable, it is the ideal charging cable for home use and its 21 ft. cable is long enough for most driveways or garages. This Level 2 charger offers 3x the charging speed in comparison to your car's original charger. Boasting 240 volts and up to 16 amps, it provides a rapid charging rate of 3.86 kW/hour, which is about 11 miles per hour of charge. The charging station is rugged and robust, and equipped with overvoltage, overheat and overcurrent protection. The indicating light on the charging station shows the various stages of charging and warns of possible errors. Operating temperatures are between -22°F and 122°F.
