About Mercury Displacement Contactors
Mercury displacement and hybrid contactors are types of electrical relay switches. A mercury relay circuit uses a small amount of mercury in a sealed tube as the switching element between two contacts. They are used when constant switching between standard relays would cause too much wear on the contacts. Products vary by contact form, number of poles, coil volts and other considerations.
