8" x 8" Square 316SS Rare Earth Grate Magnet (Discontinued)

MPI’s Grate Magnets are are designed to remove medium and small-size ferrous tramp metal contaminants from dry, granular free-flowing product streams in gravity-fed vertical chutes, hoppers, housings, or bins. Grate Magnets are easy to install and clean. They offer efficient, economical magnetic protection of processing equipment, such as milling, extruding, and mixing, while improving product purity. The product stream flows through a row of 1” diameter magnetic tubes, located on 2” centers, allowing 1” of space between each tube. The tubes are held in place with a welded stainless-steel support frame. As tramp metal contaminants are captured, they move to the underside of the magnetic tubes, eliminating tramp metal “wash-off.” All tubes are fully welded for the highest durability, no crimped or mechanically sealed end plugs. Magnet Performance (Average) 12.5 lbs. on contact with 1⁄2” ball, 5.0 lbs. with a 1⁄4” ball and 10,000 gauss (peak) on the surface of the tube.
