Needle Roller Bearings
Needle roller bearings differ from ball bearings (AKA spherical roller bearings) in that the “rollers” are elongated and cylindrical, like a rolling pin, rather than having the round surface area of a ball. This enables these bearings to have a lower profile because they don’t have to accommodate the ball’s larger radius in the bearing raceway. The lower profile makes the needle bearing a better choice when radial space around the shaft is limited. When it comes to reducing rotational friction and supporting radial or axial loads, let Zoro help you get your bearings. Other types of specialized roller bearings include cylindrical roller bearings and tapered toller bearings.
