These vent plugs assure pressure equalization and minimize undesirable problems, such as bearing seal blowout due to excessive pressure .The vent plugs allow air to freely communicate through a 40 micron cellulose filter. A splash deflector prevents liquid from spilling into the vent hole and outside. The unit withstands temperatures up to 225° F. The body is plated steel and has a 1/2 Male NPT. It has an 1 1/16 hex size and the total height is 1 3/8 .To remove the filter, simply unscrew the hex cap on top. A cost-effective replacement filter is available part no. B751-16 .
