Description
The material thickness gauge can measure material thicknesses of up to 300 mm. To ensure that the material thickness of a wide variety of homogeneous materials can be measured, the corresponding sound speed can be stored in the material thickness gauge. For materials such as steel, aluminum, zinc, silver, and gold, the appropriate sound speeds are already stored in the device library. This means that the material thickness gauge can be used universally. The limit value function on the material thickness gauge allows individual maximum and minimum values to be stored. If the measured value of the test object is outside the limits, the material thickness gauge will signal this visually. If required, the signal can be provided acoustically in addition to the visual display. This makes the material thickness gauge suitable for applications such as quality assurance and incoming goods inspection. The material thickness gauge has a data memory on which the measured values can be recorded. After a measurement sequence, the stored measured values can be analyzed directly on the material thickness gauge. The stored data is displayed graphically by the material thickness gauge. Additionally, each individual measurement point can be accessed and read in the material thickness gauge's graphic. For simplified analysis of the measured values, the average, the highest, and the lowest measured values are displayed. Optionally, the material thickness gauge can be equipped with an ISO calibration certificate.
