Description
Poroplate® laminates are multilayer composites of selected wire cloths, perforated sheets and fiber metal felts permanently bonded together through a proprietary diffusion bonding process. The material that results has far greater strength, abrasion resistance and filtration characteristics than can be obtained from a single layer of fine mesh. Purolator originally invented Poroplate® laminates and has been manufacturing this material for over 30 years. This experience enables us to supply standard and custom products to users worldwide. Typical Applications Filtration - Polymers - Food & beverages - Hot gases - Chemicals - Pharmaceuticals & cosmetics - Hydraulic oils & fuels - Water Fluidizing - Gravity conveyors - Railroad cars - Bulk product transporters - Storage silos - Dryers & coolers Standard 5-Layer Poroplate® Laminates: Nominal Micron: 2, 5, 10, 20, 40, 75, 100 Purolator's original 5-layer Poroplate is constructed from layers of selected woven wire cloth, repeatedly calendered and diffusion bonded to form a single monolithic material.
