Our rubber neoprene is actually a powerful synthetic rubber compound made up of styrene butadiene rubber and chloroprene rubber (CR) to inherit the strengths of both synthetic rubbers. This mix of synthetic rubber materials gives the neoprene rubber a moderate resistance to oils, chemicals, and many damaging effects of weather. The vulcanized neoprene has a solid consistency and sleek black finish, adding a professional aesthetic to this highly resistant rubber sheeting.

This 3/16” neoprene is one of the thinner options available and works best in highly detailed or delicate applications. Different applications may also require varying levels of neoprene rubber hardness. This thin neoprene has a durometer of 60A, giving it a hard surface and a moderate amount of flexibility. The 60-durometer neoprene is stiff yet pliable, and works best in highly abrasive applications such as neoprene pads or bumpers. The hard rubber sheets can also be cut down and used to make neoprene seals, liners, and gaskets.
