Rubber-Cal’s Pure Gum Rubber is an affordable and eco-friendly natural rubber material with high elasticity. This flexible rubber product is naturally sourced from the latex of rubber trees and is free of any synthetic rubber materials. Production of natural gum rubber leaves almost zero waste, allowing for an affordable and eco-friendly soft rubber material. This non-marking rubber has a natural tan color that won’t rub off or leave unsightly stains. Because the gum rubber is non-marking, it is ideal for abrasive applications in industrial and commercial settings alike. This pure gum rubber sheet generally has a higher rebound rate than its synthetic counterparts, and is best for applications that require high elasticity. The durometer or hardness of gum rubber is typically much lower than other synthetic types of rubber. A higher durometer indicates a hard sheet rubber material, while a lower durometer indicates a more flexible and soft elastic rubber. This flexible rubber has a durometer of 40A, giving is a soft surface and excellent pliability. This low durometer is the key feature of Rubber-Cal’s natural gum rubber, as it has a high tensile strength and can handle a great deal of physical stress without taking damage. Though gum rubber doesn’t do well with oils and chemicals, the flexible elastomer does have good resistance to organic salts, ammonia, acids, and alkalis. The gum rubber can also work well in temperatures from -20° to 170° F, making this elastic rubber sheet great for industrial applications that require more “bounce back.” For a flexible rubber with high adaptability, nothing beats natural rubber sheeting. The high elasticity of natural rubber products means that the rubber materials can be stretched and compressed without losing their shape. The soft rubber sheets are great for absorbing impacts, vibrations, and even sounds to allow for a safe and forgiving surface. As a result, this flexible industrial rubber performs well in high-impact applications such as gum rubber pads or liners. The elasticity of gum rubber also makes it perfect for delicate applications such as window squeegees or even drum practice pads. Our gum rubber sheets are available in several different gauges to meet the needs of any possible application. This 3/8” natural rubber is one of the thicker options available and works best in abrasive applications. The gum rubber has better resilience than the harder alternatives, even when the flexible rubber material is stretched. And due to the natural coloring, the tan gum rubber will never rub off or leave residue on sub-surfaces. This flexible gum rubber is a very pliable non-marking material with great resilience, making it the perfect choice for high-impact applications.
