Description
The MC 50.2 Multifunction Calibrator is a high-precision, portable instrument designed for the dual task of measuring and simulating various physical and electrical quantities. Built for both on-site maintenance and laboratory use, it offers a robust set of features tailored for industrial process control and technical specialists. Core Functions The device operates with an electrically insulated double display, allowing simultaneous measurement and simulation. Measurement & Simulation Capabilities: It handles DC voltage, DC current, resistance, and frequency. Temperature Calibration: It measures and simulates temperatures using a wide array of thermocouples (including K, T, J, E, S, B, N) and resistive probes (RTDs such as Pt100, Ni100, and Cu50). Process Control Tools: Loop Power: Supplies a 24V power loop tpassive transmitters while simultaneously measuring the resulting current. HART Compatibility: Designed for use with current loops compatible with the HART protocol. Scaling & Linearization: Includes a "Set tscale" function tconvert electrical measurements intphysical units, useful for correcting sensor non-linearity. Advanced Signal Generation: Users can program linear variations (simple or cyclic ramps), increments, or custom synthesized curves for testing system responses. Target Markets and Applications The MC 50.2's versatility makes it suitable for several key industrial sectors: HVAC and Climate Control: Specifically designed tcalibrate air conditioning systems by simulating sensor inputs and measuring the output current or voltage. Process Manufacturing: Ideal for monitoring changes in physical quantities during processing, transformation phenomena, and heat exchange. Industrial Automation: Used for calibrating and maintaining transmitters, current loops, and various sensors used in automated production lines. Quality Testing and R&D: Provides the precision necessary for development environments and quality control laboratories. Power and Energy: Its ability thandle multiple probe types and provide loop power makes it essential for maintaining sensors in power generation and distribution facilities.
