Steel or metal strapping is used to hold extremely heavy loads together. Because the metal strapping does not stretch, loads stay secure when in transit. Steel strapping can also hold up against sharp edges and hard corners better than plastic, polyester or nylon straps and do not weaken when exposed to prolonged use in high heat. Strapping machines and carts are also available for those who do a lot of binding. For lighter loads, plastic or fabric strapping may be the right choice.
