Thermocouple temperature probes are wires made from different types of metals to accommodate the variety of atmospheres and environments for which continuous thermal monitoring is required. Thermocouple adapters are placed between those wires and the controller unit which receives and processes the info so that it can accommodate the different types of wires. One type of thermocouple adapter is a jack that helps to make the transition to the base unit from the thermocouple wire. Thermocouple adapters are classified and identified to match the same classifications given to the thermoprobe wires, such as K type thermocouple, J type thermocouple, T type thermocouple and so on. This category of thermocouple adapters also contains a variety of probes and fittings. For more items related to thermocouples, see our thermocouple assemblies.
