Threadlockers are used to lock and secure threads, fasteners, and other parts together. They provide a strong bond that resists loosening from shock, vibration, and thermal cycling.

Types of Threadlockers

Threadlockers come in different types for different applications. Some threadlockers are designed to be permanent while others are designed to be removable. Different threadlockers also have varying degrees of strength and flexibility.

How Threadlockers are Made

Threadlockers are typically made from anaerobic compounds that cure when exposed to air. These compounds react with metal surfaces to form a tough plastic material that bonds threads together.

Industries that use Threadlockers

Threadlockers are widely used in the automotive industry for fastening nuts and bolts. They can also be found in industrial manufacturing settings where they're used for assembling large machinery components or securing threaded components such as screws and bolts.
