The Vaughan SH200 Split Head Hammer is a 4 lb. hammer with a 13-3/4 in. length and a 5 3/4 in. head length. The rawhide mallet heads are replaceable, so you can use this split head hammer for years to come. The tip material of the 2 in. dia. replacement heads is made of rawhide, which makes them durable and shock absorbent as well as resistant to moisture and extreme temperatures. The hickory handle has been treated with linseed oil to make it weatherproof and long lasting, even when exposed to water or oil based substances like paint thinner or grease.
