Description
XTRweld Alloy 50 is the ultimate all-purpose electrode for welding a wide variety of steels from dissimilar steel combinations to tool steels, spring steels, and even high-nickel alloys (excluding aluminum and copper alloys). It's especially recommended for tool and die repair, hardfacing underlays, and worn part restoration. This high-performance electrode features engineered "ferrite-balanced" chemistry for unmatched crack resistance and strength. Its porosity-free weld deposits offer greater root penetration and higher tensile strength than standard stainless steel rods. The specially designed flux formulation turns slag to powder, making Alloy 50 ideal for "stud pull" applications and clean horizontal fillet welds.
