The Exitronix VEX-WP Series Weatherproof LED Exit Sign is designed for dependable exit signage in outdoor and wet-location applications. The fixture combines rugged thermoplastic construction with energy-efficient LED illumination to provide reliable performance in demanding commercial and industrial environments. Engineered specifically for harsh conditions, the VEX-WP Series features a fully gasketed lens and housing that protects internal components from moisture and environmental exposure. This sealed design allows the fixture to perform reliably in wet-location installations and extreme conditions. The housing is constructed from corrosion-resistant, injection-molded high-temperature thermoplastic rated UL 94 5VA flame-retardant and includes an impact-resistant polycarbonate shield for added durability. These materials help protect the exit sign from environmental damage while maintaining long service life. High-efficiency LEDs illuminate the EXIT legend with consistent brightness while minimizing energy consumption and maintenance requirements compared to traditional exit signs. Battery backup models automatically activate during power interruptions to maintain exit visibility and support life-safety code compliance. Additional features include a charge-rate/power-on LED indicator with test button and an internal battery heater that enables reliable operation in cold environments ranging from approximately -20 DegC to 50 DegC (-4 DegF to 122 DegF).
