Featuring nine drawers and a full-width top compartment, the 2009 provides versatile, graduated storage for precision tools, knives, watch collections, specialty instruments, small heirlooms, and curated personal collections. The traditional Gerstner front lid secures all drawers when closed and stows neatly beneath the drawer stack when open, allowing complete access to the interior. Constructed from plain sawn American Cherry and finished in Gerstner’s signature fruitwood tone, this chest highlights the natural warmth and flowing grain patterns of cherry. The finish enhances the wood’s character without concealing it. Over time, cherry will naturally darken, developing deeper richness and patina. The drawer configuration offers increased organization flexibility, with varied drawer heights that accommodate both smaller precision items and larger stored pieces.
