When transporting shipping containers, especially on a barge, it's easier to keep them from tipping or falling if they're lashed together. Fortunately, steel bridge fittings can do the job. These heavy-duty fittings keep shipping containers together, combining their weight so they're harder to move, spill, or tip in transit. HIGH-QUALITY CASTING STEEL. Bridge fittings are molded from molten steel in high-heat castings to create a single, strong, viable object. There are no points of connection or fusion within a steel bridge fitting. CORROSION RESISTANT. The heavy-duty casting steel bridge is galvanized in a coating of zinc with a hot dip. The zinc coating resists rust and other sources of chemically-based corrosion damage. WORKING LOAD LIMIT OVER 3.7 TONS! Work with the heaviest shipping containers in confidence: this bridge fitting can handle 7,493 lbs with ease. It's got a breaking strength of 22,480 lbs! A shipping container that's too heavy for this bridge would be rare indeed. EASILY CONNECT AND DISCONNECT CONTAINERS. The bridge fittings' unique twist-lock design makes it easy to connect and disconnect containers when the time is right.
