This gauge was specially designed to measure a vehicle's coolant level .The leak proof construction, large vent hole and unrestricted passages permit fast and accurate liquid level response . The square shank with pipe thread screws into a tapped hole on the side of a reservoir. A full rotational clearance is not necessary; the union coupling is installed without rotating the entire gauge .This brass elbow gauge features a 1/2 diameter glass sight protected by a brass shield. The shield can be revolved to the most convenient position for viewing or taken off completely for cleaning. The gauge uses only atmospheric pressure. A Teflon washer reduces friction between the cap and the glass during installation and adjustments. Viton seals are used. The unit tolerates temperatures up to 300° F .A unique feature of this gauge is the 1/4 female NPT top cap.
