Description
The accelerometer was developed for the continuous monitoring of vibration velocity. The accelerometer is available in various designs. Depending on the type of accelerometer, a distinction is made between design and measuring range. The accelerometer measures vibration velocity in the range of +/- 12.7 mm/s or +/- 25.4 mm/s in the frequency range between 3 Hz and 1500 kHz. The measured vibration velocity is output as a 4 to 20 mA process current. The vibration sensor is connected to a controller or process display in a current loop via a MIL-C-5015 connector. Depending on the design, the connection socket is mounted vertically or horizontally on the accelerometer. The accelerometer can be operated with a voltage of 12 to 24 V DC.
