The Powermatic, 209BHH, PM1-478, 20-inch planer with 230V, 1 PH, power is built for shops that need increased capacity and cutting strength. Driven by a 5 HP motor, this machine provides the power required to surface wide panels and dense hardwoods with confidence. Its 20- inch cutting width and 8-inch maximum thickness capacity allow larger stock to be processed efficiently. The four row helical cutterhead features 68 four sided inserts spinning at 5200 RPM to deliver a smooth finish with reduced tear out and noise, and inserts are easily accessed for rotation or replacement to minimize downtime.
