About PVDF Pipe Fittings
These plastic pipe fittings are made from polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), which is also known as Kynar®. Polyvinylidene fittings offer excellent abrasion resistance, dielectric properties and mechanical strength within a temperature range of -40º F to 250º F, although they can handle flows up to approximately 300º F for limited periods. Kynar® makes for outstanding pvc connectors, and is very resistant to chlorine, bromine, most strong acids, and alcohols. Some of these piping and tubing connectors are alternatively made from PVC and other similarly durable and highly resistant thermoplastic polymers.
