Description
The Watts LFF115 is a pilot-operated, diaphragm-actuated 6-inch pressure reducing valve designed to reduce a higher fluctuating inlet pressure to a constant, lower downstream pressure. This 6 inch PRV is specifically engineered for high-capacity water distribution in commercial and industrial applications where lead-free materials are required for potable water safety. The single-chamber, globe-style body utilizes a full-port design to ensure maximum flow efficiency and minimal pressure drop.
Operational Capacities:
- Flow Performance: Optimized for high-volume systems, supporting a continuous flow rate of 1,800 gpm and handling intermittent surges up to 2,300 gpm.
- Pressure Regulation: The pilot system is factory-preset to 50 psi. It is field-adjustable with a wide range of 20 psi to 175 psi (with a total pilot adjustment capability up to 300 psi).
- Working Pressure: Rated for a maximum operating pressure of 250 psi.
- Material Construction & Compliance
- Corrosion Resistance: The ductile iron (ASTM A536) body, cover, and bonnet are fully protected by a fusion-bonded epoxy lining and coating, preventing internal pitting and mineral buildup.
- Hardware & Trim: Constructed with a 304 stainless steel stem and nut, a 302 stainless steel spring, and 316 stainless steel trim for superior durability in high-flow environments.
- Seals: Equipped with Buna-N elastomers for the disc and seat, ensuring a drip-tight shutoff across the full temperature range (up to 160°F).
