Pressure Reducing Valve, 4 In, Flanged

The Watts 4-inch pressure reducing valve is a pilot-operated pressure reducing control valve designed for commercial and industrial water distribution. Constructed with a globe-style, single-chamber ductile iron body (ASTM A536), this Watts 4 inch PRV automatically reduces a higher, fluctuating inlet pressure to a constant, lower downstream pressure, regardless of changes in flow rate. The unit is fully protected by a fusion-bonded epoxy lining and coating for enhanced corrosion resistance and longevity.

The valve features a full-port design to ensure high flow efficiency, supporting a continuous flow rate of 800 gpm and intermittent peaks up to 1,000 gpm. The internal construction includes high-grade 304 and 316 stainless steel trim and a 302 stainless steel spring. Drip-tight shutoff and reliable sealing are provided by Buna-N elastomers used for the disc, seat, and diaphragm.

Performance & Configuration:

• Pressure Regulation: The pilot system is factory-preset to 50 psi and is field-adjustable from a minimum of 20 psi to a maximum of 175 psi.
• Durability: Built with a ductile iron bonnet and body, featuring a stainless steel stem and nut assembly for structural integrity under high-pressure conditions.
• Connectivity: Equipped with 4-inch flanged inlet and outlet connections, rated for a maximum operating pressure of 250 psi.
• Compliance: The valve is NSF listed and meets ASTM A536 material standards, making it suitable for standard water media applications up to 160°F.
