How long do the ice plates last in extreme heat? Our included 13oz ice plate is designed to provide cooling relief for up to 3 hours in moderate conditions. However, in extreme temperatures (100 DegF / 38 DegC and above), cooling time may be closer to 30-45 minutes, depending on individual activity level, sun exposure, and humidity. Why the shorter duration? In these high-heat environments, the body works overtime to regulate temperature - and so do our ice plates. The hotter it gets, the faster the ice melts to keep you cool. Need longer-lasting cooling? We recommend rotating multiple ice plates for all-day relief. Storing spares in a cooler or freezer allows quick swaps when needed.
