The large opening, which can be used for 2x3 or 3x4 downspouts, is covered with a soft, fine mesh, plastic screen that helps keeps out heavy debris. This rain barrel features a sturdy plastic spigot which won't rust. The molded form on the rear of the barrel can be used to mount a downspout diverter kit.
