Selecting appropriate CTs requires careful consideration of several factors: primary current rating, accuracy class, burden, insulation, and environmental conditions. Matching the CT's primary current rating to the circuit's current is crucial. Accuracy class determines the precision of the CT's measurements, while burden influences the load the CT can handle. Insulation ensures safe operation in various environments, and environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity, must be taken into account for optimal performance.
