About Diaphragm Compressors & Vacuum Pumps
For commercial and residential use, a compressor vacuum pump is a version of a reciprocating compressor, as it is driven by a crankshaft instrument. However, this diaphragm compressor is suited for pumping toxic gases, due its flexible membrane that moves with the crankshaft. The membrane compresses gasses and is strong enough to withstand strains from the pumping process. This type of air compressor pump makes a useful vacuum pump, when the air intake valve is switched off and an applicable hose is attached. For additional types of compressor and pump mechanisms, we have piston air compressor and vacuum pumps and rotary vane compressor and vacuum pumps.
