Diaphragm valves are used on shut-off and throttling services for liquids, slurries and vacuum-gas systems. Often found at refineries, oil and petrochemical companies and chemical processing plants, these valve have a simple construction consisting of a valve body with one or more ports, a diaphragm and seat or saddle upon which the diaphragm closes the valve. Diaphragm valves can be constructed from PVC, stainless steel or rubber, and pneumatic diaphragm valves and diaphragm-type solenoid valves are also available. In addition to chemical and petrochemical applications, diaphragm valves are commonly used in industrial systems such as waste product flows. Looking for more valves?
