Description

The LITTLE GIANT PUMP 581604 is a magnetic drive pump for transferring highly corrosive chemicals and solutions in in-line, non-submersed applications. Its seal-less magnetic drive is designed to eliminate seal-caused friction loss, wear, contamination, and leakage. This MD-HC Series pump uses a 1/25 hp totally enclosed fan-cooled motor and is configured for gravity-feed operation, requiring the pump inlet to be lower than the liquid level.

  • Seal-less magnetic drive: Designed for corrosive chemicals and solutions while reducing leakage and seal-related wear.
  • Construction materials: Glass-filled polyphenylene housing and volute, carbon impeller components, ceramic shaft and thrust washers, and FKM gasket/O-ring materials.
  • Motor: 1/25 hp shaded pole motor with totally enclosed fan-cooled enclosure, single phase, 115V AC, 60 Hz.
  • Run dry capability: Can run dry for up to 8 hours.
  • Flow performance: Up to 9.2 gpm at 3 ft of head, 8.1 gpm at 6 ft, 6.5 gpm at 9 ft, and 2.6 gpm at 15 ft.
  • Maximum head: 16.3 ft.
  • Connection size: 1/2 in inlet and 1/2 in discharge with NPT threads.
  • Liquid handling limits: Maximum specific gravity 1.1, maximum viscosity 100 SSU, and media temperature up to 200°F.
  • Installation details: Horizontal mounting design for non-submersed, gravity-feed use.
  • Power cord: 6 ft 3-conductor SJO cord with 3-prong molded plug.
