Evaporative Cooler Motors
Evaporative cooler motors (AKA swamp cooler motor) are often used as part of an evaporative air conditioning system designed to cool the air in a building by drawing outside air through moistened cooling pads, evaporating the moisture to draw heat from the air as the air flows into the building. It takes a powerful, reliable HVAC motor to drive the evaporative cooling process, and Zoro has many. They vary by horsepower, number of speeds, shaft diameter, voltage, motor design, mounting type and other considerations. Fun fact: the word “swamp” in the phrase “swamp cooler” refers to the swamping of the moisture pads, and not because these systems are deployed in buildings located in wetland areas. In fact, “swamp coolers” work best in in dry, hot climates. For more on cooling, see our room air conditioner motors transformer cooling fan motors, and pedestal fan motors.
