Hazardous location fixtures are specialized lighting fixtures designed to operate safely in environments where there is a risk of explosion or fire. They are typically used in industrial settings, such as chemical plants, refineries, and mines.

There are two main types of hazardous location fixtures: explosion-proof and non-incendive. Explosion-proof fixtures are designed to withstand an internal explosion without releasing sparks or flames that could ignite surrounding gases or vapors. Non-incendive fixtures are designed to operate at a temperature below the ignition point of surrounding gases or vapors.

Using hazardous location fixtures can help to prevent explosions and fires in hazardous environments. They are also designed to be durable and reliable, even in extreme conditions.

When choosing a hazardous location fixture, it is important to consider the specific needs of your application. Factors to consider include the type of hazardous environment, the type of lighting required, and the mounting location.
